Canon Auto Zoom 518 Super 8 Movie Camera is a vintage handheld Super 8 cine camera with metal, plastic, glass and rubber visible in its construction. It features a fixed lens assembly, control dials and switches, side body contour, strap lug, removable battery compartment cover, and visible markings reading Canon, AUTO ZOOM 518 and SUPER 8.
Exterior shows wear including scratches, scuffs and light edge wear; there is corrosion and residue inside the battery compartment and a detached spring contact. Super 8 cameras were used for small-format cine film and this unit is commonly collected for display, repair or parts when untested.
