Mrs. Potts #1 Cast Iron Sad Iron Base is a cast iron laundry base with a triangular pointed form, flat sole plate and hollow interior that accepts an interchangeable removable handle as part of a detachable-handle sad iron system.
The visible finish is dark gray and black with areas of reddish-brown surface rust; photos show interior rusting, oxidation, scuffs and age-related finish loss. The handle is not included and no clearly readable text is visible in the photos.
